Tribute Ceremonies

Throughout our area, we host several Tribute Ceremonies to remember and cherish the lives of those we love. These powerful and reflective ceremonies make it possible for us to provide services, quality care and comfort to those living through advanced illness. Your donations help fund almost $1 million in charity care annually, so no one is ever turned away because of inability to pay. Your gifts also provide grief counseling to children and adults.

Tile Tribute Ceremonies

Through a gift or combination of gifts totaling $1,000 or more, a tile will be hand-inscribed and dedicated in memory or honor of a loved one. Together, these tiles create a beautiful portrait of seas, sky, magnolias and other objects reflective of the individual journeys of our lives.

These beautiful tribute walls can be found at:

  • Angel House Hospice Care Center in Whiteville
  • SECU Hospice House of Brunswick in Bolivia
  • Heritage Garden at our Dr. Robert M. Fales Hospice Pavilion and Administrative Office in Wilmington
  • The Sister Connie Fahey Conference Room in our Mercy Care office

Wings of Love

At these special services, our staff reads the names of those honored and remembered. During a quiet moment of reflection, butterflies are released.

Love Lights

Every year in Brunswick County, we have a memorial service for all patients Lower Cape Fear Hospice served in the last 12 months. At our annual Memorial Service and Love Light Ceremony, your loved one’s name will be read and commemorated.
